Dewayne Hall

May 16, 1957 ~ December 14, 2020 (age 63)

Obituary

Lindal “Dewayne” Hall was born May 16, 1957 in Tulsa, OK to Robert and Eloise (Foster) Hall.  Later moving to South Garland, Texas where he graduated high school in 1975.  Dewayne enjoyed the art of baking and cake making at an early age and continued this career through the first of his adult life.  He later met the love of his life, Linda Jean McCauley and they were married on December 11, 1981.

They both continued working in the baking business and opened a Bakery/Donut Shop in Plano, Texas.  Dewayne loved hunting and fishing and was so glad that he found a soulmate that loved it as well.  In 1991, they got the opportunity to move to Oklahoma and they jumped at the idea of owning land where they could hunt and fish as much as possible.  Dewayne began working at Nichols Grocery in Checotah as the Bakery/Deli Manager.  In May of 1998, Dewayne became a Deputy Sheriff for McIntosh County which he took great pride in.  He was an advocate for Crime Stoppers and Families of Domestic Abuse, he loved helping anyone who was willing to receive it.  He was Chief Deputy Sheriff at the time of his death.  Dewayne was a devout Christian and loved the Lord with all his heart and soul.  He and Linda attended church at Lindsay Chapel Baptist Church and they loved their church family.

Dewayne was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kelly; his grandparents; his father, Robert, his brother, David; and his father-in-law, E.S. McCauley.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; his son, Danny Price and wife Jackie of Checotah; his daughter, Brandi Hale of Checotah and his daughter, Jennifer Hall and husband Robert of Rowlett, Texas; his mom, Eloise Hall of Muskogee; his brother Robert Hall and wife Julie of Muskogee; his mother-in-law, Mildred “Dennie” McCauley as well as many cousins, nephews and a host of friends and fellow officers.

Dewayne was a proud PawPaw to six grandchildren and loved spending time with each one of them.  Taking them hunting and fishing was a treat for them all.  He loved you Samantha, Matthew, Chase, Hayden, Richie, and Trinity.  Dewayne was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Keven, Kase, and Sasha.
