Mary was born in Porter, OK on August 20, 1938. She retired from the sewing factory in Checotah where she worked 20 plus years. She went to see Jesus on March 26, 2020. Mary graduated from Muskogee Public schools in May of 1956. Mary was known for loving sports. Anyone that knew her knew not to talk about her boys! Her favorite football teams were OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys. OKC Thunder was her favorite basketball team and St. Louis Cardinals was her favorite baseball team. Mary was devoted to her family most of all. She enjoyed sewing making quilts for her kids and grandkids. She has always loved George Straight. She would always say “that’s my man”. She enjoyed doing Fill-ins and was known to sometimes send one of the grandkids to get her a scratch-off or two! Mary was also known for her witty sense of humor and liked playing a good joke! Mary was a true and pure definition of a mother, grandma, and GaGa. She always put everyone before herself, so to say a heart of gold would be an understatement. Mary was a member of Deep Fork Hillabee Indian Baptist church where she was baptized by Rev. Cap McIntosh. She served as a Sunday School teacher for a period of time there.
